Vacuum Pump Maintenance Basics

Because vacuum pumps are often used in harsh environments with high temperature, high pressure and strong corrosion, various damages will inevitably occur. If we want to prolong its service life and make it used in various industries for a long time, we need to regularly repair and maintain it. In fact, it is a troublesome thing to repair the vacuum pump. In many cases, if it is not handled in time, it will affect the future work.

Vacuum Pump Maintenance Basic Points

  1. Do not work with faults

When carrying out vacuum pump maintenance, there is another factor that we must pay attention to, that is, we must not let our equipment work with faults, because this will not only affect the work, but also may cause more serious consequences.

  1. Master the basic maintenance requirements

Each vacuum pump have very detailed maintenance instructions. Generally speaking, as long as there is a problem with the vacuum pumps, everyone must first compare and find out whether they are doing it wrong when maintaining equipment. When the vacuum pump is maintained, it is not done well or not enough, resulting in a simple failure. These failures can generally be handled well according to the manual, and it is also a very simple failure.

  1. Contact the vacuum pump after-sales service team in time

If the vacuum pump failure is a relatively large failure, user must pay attention to contact the pump after-sales service team in time when repairing the vacuum pump. Generally speaking, the after-sales service team will arrange professional after-sales personnel to do repair in time, so this processing is also very simple.

  1. Electrochemical cleaning

Put the metal parts to be cleaned in a certain solution, connect the parts to the positive or negative pole of the power supply, and then use a plate made of a certain material to connect the other pole of the power supply, adjust the power supply voltage, and obtain a certain current density, to achieve the purpose of degreasing and removing the oxide layer on the metal surface.

  1. Acid and alkali etching treatment

The purpose of etching treatment after degreasing is to remove oxides on the metal surface. After heat treatment, the oil pollution no longer exists, and etching treatment can be carried out directly to remove the oxide layer after annealing. The etching treatment is generally carried out in an acidic solution. Most metal oxides and the metal itself can chemically react with an acid solution of appropriate concentration.

The oxide reacts with the acid to generate salt and water, and the metal reacts with the acid to generate salt and hydrogen. After a part of the hydrogen is adsorbed on the metal surface, it will make some metals brittle. In order to avoid the brittleness and excessive corrosion of the metal, a corrosion inhibitor can be added to the etching solution, and the concentration and temperature of the etching solution can be properly controlled.

  1. Ultrasonic cleaning

The principle of ultrasonic cleaning is to use the "void phenomenon" of the medium caused by it, that is, the vibration of the ultrasonic wave causes the density of the cleaning medium to change to achieve the purpose of cleaning.

The vibration makes the medium sometimes sparse and sometimes closed, and when it is sparse, an instantaneous gap is formed, when it is closed, the instantaneous impact force can reach several atmospheres and fall into the solution.
