Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump for Barium Salt Production

In recent years, many barium salt manufacturers have switched to rotary vane vacuum pumps for barium salt production, because water ring vacuum pumps have been used for filtration, which has low vacuum, easy damage, heavy workload, and frequent maintenance that affect production.  

At present, the new breakthrough of barium salt technology is: The reduction of barite adopts a boiling furnace with high reduction rate, using natural gas or gas reducing agent.

Barite is added with appropriate alkali metal carbonate to directly convert high temperature catalytically to produce precipitated barium sulfate or metathesis to produce barium carbonate.

Barium salt is an important inorganic salt. Zinc barium white (lithopone, a mixture of barium sulfate and zinc sulfide) is used in coatings, rubber, ink, paper and other industries, barium chloride is used in the manufacture of barium-containing organic pigments, and barium borate is used in ceramics and in the paint industry, barium nitrate is used to make pyrotechnics, flares, etc.

Barium salt is a general term for all salts whose cations are barium ions (Ba2+). Common barium salts are: barium sulfate, barium nitrate, barium chloride, barium carbonate, barium cyanide, etc.

In the production process of barium salt, barite ore is firstly reduced and roasted to obtain barium sulfide, and then barium sulfide is used as raw material to produce various barium salts, such as barium sulfide and zinc sulfate react to generate zinc barium white, which reacts with hydrogen chloride to generate Barium chloride reacts with boron ore in alkaline solution to generate barium metaborate, and reacts with soda ash to generate barium carbonate.

Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Application

Gas type: Clean and dry air without other mixtures at room temperature, no air containing other dust and moisture.

Working requirements: When the inlet pressure is greater than 6500Pa, the continuous working time should not exceed 3 minutes to avoid pump damage caused by fuel injection.

Working requirements: Under the condition that the inlet pressure is less than 1330pa, it is allowed to work continuously for a long time.

Ambient temperature: The vacuum pump is generally used in an environment with room temperature not lower than 5°C and relative humidity not higher than 90%. 

The rotary vane vacuum pump greatly speeds up the filtration of viscous materials that are difficult to filter, plays a good role in improving the output and quality of products, and creates favorable conditions for further production increase. In addition, the rotary vane vacuum pump has reasonable structure, stable performance, safe and reliable use, long service life, reduced energy consumption, and convenient installation and maintenance.
