Screw Vacuum Pump for Waste Heat Power Generation

Waste heat power generation refers to a technology that converts excess thermal energy in the production process into electrical energy. Waste heat power generation is not only energy-saving, but also conducive to environmental protection.


The important equipment for waste heat power generation is waste heat boiler. It uses the heat or combustible substances in the working medium such as waste gas and waste liquid as the heat source to produce steam for power generation. The transmission shaft is connected to the rotor, and is driven by the synchronous gear to rotate from the rotor. A cooling water channel is opened on the casing to cool the rotor and the temperature of the exhaust port. The synchronous gear and bearing are lubricated with oil, and the inside of the bearing and the casing is cooled by seals. Sealed for oil-free effect.


Dry screw vacuum pump is similar in sealing and lubrication structure to the oil-free screw compressor. Generally, the exhaust end of the vacuum pump uses a mechanical seal, and the intake side usually uses a double lip seal. In terms of transmission mode, currently the most commonly used is a direct-connected motor, which is connected to the rotor with a coupling, and very few are driven by a belt or a transmission chain.


The constant-pitch screw pump has no internal compression process, and the exhaust temperature is very high. If the cooling effect is not good, the rotor and the casing will be deformed, which will affect the pumping effect. Cooling the casing is an essential part, and water cooling is the most common method. Passing cooling water on the casing body and the outside of the bearing can achieve the purpose of cooling the casing and then cooling the rotor.

In view of the current situation, the vacuum pump is retrofitted by adding a pre-ejection device, which increases the reliability of the equipment operation, but when the vacuum pre-ejection device is running, the current increases a lot, and the energy-saving effect cannot be achieved. The vacuum tightness of the screw vacuum pump is good, and the amount of air leaking into the condenser during normal operation is very small, and most of the gas extracted is water vapor, which requires less power. Screw vacuum pump is energy saving and vibration elimination.
