Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump for Sewage Suction Truck

The sewage suction truck mainly relies on the function of the vacuum pump. Generally, there are two different vacuum pumps used, one is a water ring vacuum pump, and the other is a rotary vane vacuum pump.

Sewage suction truck is a new type of sanitation model, mainly used for cleaning urban sewers, sediments in pipelines, dredging of dead-end mud ditch, and also for cleaning industrial drainage pipes, walls, etc. It can also be used for fire fighting in an emergency.

Regarding the difference between the water ring vacuum pump and the rotary vane vacuum pump, we can discuss and analyze the working principle, driving method, etc.

First of all, their working principles are as follows: the water ring vacuum pump is that the impeller is eccentrically installed in the pump body, and an appropriate amount of water is supplied in the pump body as the working fluid. When the impeller rotates, the water in the pump body is thrown around by the impeller.

Due to the action of centrifugal force, the water forms a closed water ring with the same thickness as the pump chamber. The water ring vacuum pump relies on the change of the pump chamber volume to achieve suction, compression and exhaust, thus completing the sewage suction truck suction and discharge operations.

The rotary vane vacuum pump rotates eccentrically through the shaft and the blades in the core sleeve, and the air in the tank is sealed at the source to form a negative pressure.  

 

Second, the driven method is also different. The water ring vacuum pump is equipped with a high-power generator set, which is independently controlled by the generator set, electronically controlled switch, manual throttle, and can share the chassis fuel tank. The whole vehicle is equipped with a water tank for the working fluid of the water ring pump.

The rotary vane vacuum pump is connected to the engine gearbox through the power take-off, driven by the transmission shaft, and controlled by a pneumatic switch. The structure of the rotary vane vacuum pump is simpler, and the high-power generator set equipped with the water ring vacuum pump is not required, so the purchasing cost is relatively lower.  

 

Finally, there is the difference in suction. The vertical suction head of the water circulation vacuum pump is 6-10 meters. The vertical suction head of the rotary vane vacuum pump is 5-6 meters.  

 

Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump Advantages in Sewage Suction Truck

The composition of the special rotary vane vacuum pump for sewage suction vehicles includes a pump casing, the inner surface of the pump casing is provided with a cylinder liner, the two ends of the pump casing are respectively provided with a front bearing and a rear bearing, and a pump is installed between the front bearing and the rear bearing.

The axial center of the pump shaft is deviated from the axial center of the pump casing. The pump shaft is fixed with a rotor. Four slots are respectively arranged in the radial direction of the rotor. The groove slides radially, and the contact end of the rotary vane and the cylinder liner is an arc structure, and the arc structure is in line contact with the cylinder liner.

It rotates on the cylinder liner on the rotary vane and is in line contact with the cylinder liner, thereby reducing the friction between the rotary vane and the cylinder liner, so that the rotary vane and the cylinder liner are not easy to wear. It also has advantages like good sealing and strong adsorption.
