Roots Vacuum Pump for Textile Industry

The light textile industry is an industrial sector that produces consumer materials, mainly including textiles, food, paper making, daily ceramics, bicycles, sewing machines, clocks, leather, arts, crafts, and handicrafts.

This article is about polyester chips in the textile industry and the application effect of roots vacuum pumps in the textile industry.

What is polyester?

The scientific name of polyester is polyethylene terephthalate fiber, referred to as polyester fiber. It is polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is obtained by esterification and poly condensation reaction of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and ethylene glycol (EG) as raw materials.

In the light textile industry, what is the difference between direct spinning and chip spinning?

In terms of meaning, direct spinning refers to the method of producing polyester fibers by directly sending the polyester melt made by chemical reaction to spinning and post-processing through pipes. Chip spinning refers to a method in which polyester chips are dried, spun and post-processed to produce polyester fibers.

In terms of process, the process of chip spinning is more complicated, and the equipment investment, plant area and power consumption are higher than those of direct spinning, but its production flexibility is large and it is easy to change varieties. Direct spinning is only suitable for single variety and mass production.

The vacuum pump for drying polyester chips in the light textile industry is roots vacuum pump, which can make the moisture content of the chips reach 100%. Especially, high temperature discharge is used to improve the spinnability. Roots vacuum pump play important role to improve the first-class product.
